The 1969 Camaro that took her across America after 9/11.

Filmmaker: Joshua Suzanne Ethier

CHICK 69

In Janurary of 2003, Joshua Suzanne, owner of Rags-agogo Vintage Clothing Stores decided to go across country in her 1969 camaro and thank the people of America for their support of New York during the 9/11 Tragedy. Like many businesses Rags-a-gogo suffered financial losses from the shock and aftermath the disaster caused, but she found that tourists from other states kept her business afloat by going out of their way to visit New York and simply spend money.

This teaser shows a small portion of the love, passion and pain people shared as she made her way west of New York.

This Documentary is still a work in progress: For information about about this project you can contact Chick 69 Productions: joshuasuzanne@gmail.com

MELBA MOORE EP "Book of Dreams" in PINK Magazine's Music PICS!

http://www.pinkmag.com/music-blog.php
PINK MAGAZINE'S Jason P Freeman picks Melba Moore's "Book of Dreams" as this months pick of the best new music!

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

Likely most famed for her spiritual songs of soul, and for the monumental influence her 1990 recording of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” had on Congressional Record (ultimately denoting the song as the official African American National Hymn), fans of acclaimed R&B artist Melba Moore may be unaware that this diva of divinity also does disco.

Moore’s soon-to-be-released “Book of Dreams” EP is a dance album featuring three remixes and one instrumental. The title track, written by Pat Maiorino and Andy Sarnoff–who penned two songs for Nancy Wilson and Branford Marsalis’ Grammy nominated Forbidden Lover—is an emotional ballad about overcoming odds scored against dance-floor funk; two topical themes to which LGBTs are apt to get.

And in that regard, gays can get it 9 p.m. Sunday, March 28 at NYC’s uber-trendy Splash Bar in Chelsea, where Moore will be performing in a fundraising effort to benefit the nonprofit LGBT yourh service organization, Our Youth.

Incidentally, Breaking Records Music, the independent label releasing Book of Dreams’ hard copy edition, is gay-owned and operated too.

Breaking Records presents BugGirl to America!

Breaking Records presents BUGGIRL to American Audiences!
One look at the tour schedule of Buggirl will show you exactly how hard working these guys are. Jumping on a plane from their Australian home in May 2007, the duo headed for UK and Europe, and spent the next eight months touring. They headed back for a few shows on home soil and then did it all again in 2008. Throughout their European travels they have toured alongside The Damned, The Germs, Mad Sin, Danko Jones and Brant Bjork. Buggirl have earned the praise of the media in that part of the world, particularly the UK. Media highlights include a great appearance on Total Rock Radio with Malcolm Dome, and in November featuring on the cover mount CD of giant British music magazine Classic Rock alongside The Donnas, Airbourne and The Datsuns.

Formed by siblings Amber(guitars/vocals) and Clinno(drums/vocals) Spence in 2003, the band first grabbed some attention in Australia with their debut release 'Looming Shadows'. They then followed up with 'Rock n' Roll Hell', before touring 2007-2009.

A quick break gave them a chance to write and record a brand new new five track ep, ‘Blood, Sweat & Beers’. Recorded in Sydney by Mark Opitz (the man behind some of the greatest albums by Australian rock legends AC/DC, The Divinyls and Rose Tattoo), the disc captures the band in their energetic and raw live form.

Buggirl take 'Blood, Sweat & Beers' across USA for the first time, touring between March and June 2010. The duo will be back in September for some more touring action!

Breaking Records is proud to present Buggirl to American audiences!
